How Organic Substances Promote the Chemical Oxidative Degradation of Pollutants: A Mini Review

The promotion of pollutant oxidation degradation efficiency by adding organic catalysts has obtained widespread attention in recent years. Studies have shown that substances promote the process traditional reactions accelerating redox cycle transition metals, chelating activating oxidants directly to generate reactive oxygen species such as hydroxyl and sulfate radical, or changing electron distribution target pollutant. Based on typical functional groups chemical oxidative process, a metal-organic framework been developed applied field catalytic oxidation. This manuscript reviewed types, relative merits, action mechanisms common organics which promoted so deepen understanding enhance practical application technology.
